Oooh, I get to kick off this week.....

Just one offering today as I'm spinning some very fine yarn at the moment and it\s taking forever!

Anyhow, here's some navajo plyed BFL spun from some lovely Spindlefrog roving. I've named it 'Flirt':

It's the best navajo plying I've done so far and I'm really pleased with it - it's one of those handspun yarns I have to keep digging out and looking at and thinking 'wow - I made that!'  Grin

Right, sorry for all the waffle - looking forward to seeing what everyone else has been up to.

Flirt is lovely and I am soooo not a pink person! I want to try navajo plying but have been a little intimidated. Probably wont try it anytime soon since Sims 3 is downloading onto my computer.

Thank you. I thought navajo plying looked scary too but I was surprised how straightforward it is really. There's some really good videos on YouTube showing you how it's done. You should give it a go! I'm completely hooked now!

I keep meaning to learn it. It's one of the ones you can do on a spindle, right?

When she was good, she was very very good - but when she was bad she was fabulous.

hmmm, think you can do it on a spindle but never tried myself....

Happy Friday!!!! It's been a busy week but I fit some spinning in here and there. Here are my yarns for the week!

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! - 68 yards, Extra Bulky (4-5wpi) Corespun, non-respeating self-striping from batts by Liz of Hobbledehoy

Contained Chaos - 32 yards, Bulky (6 wpi) Corespun, subtle self-striping from a batt by Daniela of FeltStudioUK

Ocean's Camo -  - 100 yards, Thick and Thin Bulky (6 wpi) plied with clear thread, SW Merino dyed by Kristin of All Spun Up (Spin-a-Long fiber)

Cravings - 79 yards, Bulky (6wpi) Corespun, Self-Striping with novelty fibers in the middle of each stripe from Loop Baby Cakes and a batt by ArtemisArtemis

Have a nice weekend! It's looking like rain around here which means I'll be carding batts and spinning!!!

Contained Chaos is wonderful! It's not very in your face with color but there is so much color when you look close.

The Noodle Princess - LOVE those colors!
