hey everyone.
I was thinking i want to make myself a fancy ass dinnerware set.
I want to stencil something on plain white plates and then coat them.

What kind of coating and paint should I use.

it sounds like your talking about doing ceramics. (i work at an art studio, that has a ceramics shop, where you can do exacly what you're referring to....) make plates from clay (usually using a mold), glaze (paint) them, then they go into the kiln and come out all shiney. they also sometimes have places like this at the mall and other such places. here (hawaii) we have a place called "paint it pottery". i think it can get expensive though.

just a thought.
