Hello all!

I want a floral half sleeve on my left arm.  I really want something different.  I am really into textiles and have thought about having something based on marimekko flowers, or some super kitsch 1950s floral textile design (similar to some orla kiely designs).

Any comments / suggestions welcome Smiley

I vote for kitschy 50's floral textile print.
Flower sleeves are done and done and done, but this is a new spin, and it sounds super-cute!

So I tend to get tattoos to commemorate different times in my life. And I have had an awesome year, so I decided I wanted to get my other hip tattoo and I am thinking about something like this:

Dogwoods are my favorite trees and I have plenty of happy memories laying in or under one. All my tattoos are black/gray, so this one will probably follow suit.

What do you all think?

So, I did it! I got this tattoo today, and it looks awesome! I will post pics as soon as it is healed up!

My avatar is my Warcraft tattoo. Its the Orc/Horde symbol. I had it done in May. Its on the back of my right calf. I want to expand on it and get the full orc shield but I'm a little hesitant due to low funds and not sure how long it would take.

Sorry kinda a newb here and I cant post pics yet, but I can update very soon with hubbys and my tattoos.  Embarrassed

Can't wait to see your new tat pics. Tee Hee

I got mine on the inside of my heel. Easy to see, easy to hide.

Wow, never heard of that. I used to work with several people with toe tattoos...seems like that would tickle lol   Grin

I'm waiting to get my tattoo until I lose 50 pounds- my tattoo will be my reward.  LOL.  I'd like a paw print to represent my love of animals.  I also really like the sparrow tattoos that are kind of popular- I love birds.  And I'd really like to have something to do with crochet because it's my obsession.  Not sure which one to get first.

If anyone needs me I'll be in the angry dome!

Hi everyone!  I'm with amigurl55, on wanting to lose weight before I get one, but I figured I'd share a picture of what I plan to get.  I'd like to get it on the inside of my ankle...someplace I can see and show off, and yet also easily hide for the office.  Hope you like it!

(I drew it in AutoCad, so it's not the best rendering, but you get the idea)

1. Has anyone here read Neverwhere? I think a Neverwhere tattoo (or an American Gods tattoo) would be really, really cool but I have no idea what it would consist of. Ideas?

So... just finished reading American Gods last week. I new I had heard of it somewhere waaaay before I ever read it and remembered this thread. I MUST HAVE AN AMERICAN GODS TAT NOW! Totally with you on that one. I'm getting sucked into Neil Gaiman's little universe. I'm thinking about getting one from the Sandman series too, but I don't want something overdone or cheese like a kanji symbol for "Dream" or something, so I'm at a loss for ideas on that one. (Does anyone except sapphire_distortion get that? lolz). Anywho... as for the American Gods tat, I thought of getting that Herodotus quote, "Call no man happy until he is dead." Of course, that would be more from Herodotus than Neil Gaiman, but I still think it sounds pretty cool. Or, the blue forget-me-nots that Easter has around her wrist (although I know of at least one person who already has this). Still trying to rack my brain for other ideas.

I also decided somewhere along the line that I really need a pink elephant tattoo. I think 'cause I loved Dumbo so much as a kid. But it'd be more anatomically correct and less of a cartoon (can't stand really girly tats). Think National-Geographic-type elephant but pink and with ridiculously tiny wings. And possibly drinking alcohol. Smiley

Oh, and did you ever get that Neverwhere piece you were talking about? If so, post pics, woman! Cheesy

Where's North from here?

I'm STILL contemplating the exact tattoo for my son.
I'm pretty sure I posted a while back on this....
I'm also still leaning towards a daffodil, because I think a big yellow flower would look killer on the side of my neck Smiley
I made a quick (and crappy) mock-up the other day. It's on the left side, and I'd want it on the right, but it gives me an idea anyways...
