My tattoo ideas are a little hard to explain.
Obviously not at all the final designs,

This one is for my Pop. He was a huge influence on my life, and I still miss him years down the road from his death.
There's a lot of backstory to this tattoo, but basically Pop was a massive hoarder, hence the cardboard boxes. When he died, we spent six months clearing out his house, box after box after box. In places, the house was actually held up by his boxes of junk.
The back box holds tin cans and papers. I think I want to put a rolled up newspaper in there too. The toy plane is for his love of toys and planes, and the pull-along train [that I want to have coming out between the two boxes, and curving around to the front] is his huuuuge passion for trains. Some of my earliest memories of him are going to big train expos and riding the ol' steam train.
The front box is full of chocolate and bon-bons and candy, because he was a MASSIVE sweet-tooth.

I need to work on the second tattoo I want.
But it's basically a cherry blossom branch in a family tree. I want two white cherryblossoms at the base, for my parents, with four buds clustered just above them for their kids.
Above that, I want it to branch into three. One small branch, with a ladybug crawling along it, another small branch on the other side, blank for now [to add buds to when my siblings have kids].
And a bigger branch coming up from between those two for my continued family tree. This one I want to start with two pink blossoms [myself and my man] [maybe in a slight loveheart shape, though not too obvious?], and then to branch out more to add buds to when I have kids.
Something I'm thinking about is having initials on the blossoms/buds for each person [K and R for my parents, S, N, J, S are my siblings and I, and then D and S for my man and I].

Keep smiling - It makes people wonder what you're up to.

Looking for Australian personal swaps! [For now. I'll branch overseas when I can afford it!]

OOkay! Let me preface this by saying I already have a pinup tattoo on my right arm. It's like punky chick with a shaved head in fishnets and suspenders, who is sitting on a cupcake. I SORT OF designed it by myself. I had the idea in my head from the artist richard black who had a similar pictures, but i wanted a more traditional spin on mine, and my tattoo artist did an AWESOME job with it.  I am at work now so i dont ahve any pictures of it, but i'll post them when I get home. AT ANY RATE, it's been one year since i got that almost, and for my birthdy which is in about a month my boyfriend is going to pay for my second pinup, which i want to be a 1920s rum running flapper girl. Now, i know i want her to be in the same sitting pose as my other pinup, but i'm not sure exactly what she should be sitting on. originally i thought a moonshine barrell, but then my boyfriend made the point that rum runners ran alcohol from canada, not moonshine. the boy suggested a piano but it would throw off the balance of the tattos that i'm going for, IMO. So i'm kind of stuck. I was thinking maybe an angled liquor bottle or something to that extent? any ideas would be really helpful!
by the way, it's going to say "Speakeasy" underneath it.

when you said 20's rum runner flappergirl pinup, I thought "bottle of liquor" and thus, I will stand by this to the day I die Smiley

What about having her sitting inside, say, a martini glass?  Or on top of an overturned glass?  Maybe with some little liquor puddles beside it?

Finally got my Mark of the Eld tattoo, by the way. It's about an inch wide and directly behind my right ear. I'll post pics when I can get my damn camera to work. As for what my second tattoo will be, I'm pretty stuck. Too many good ideas.

will they do tattoos on the sides of your feet (the fatter side, near your big toe, not the flatter side near the pinky toe)?  i had an idea for what i want for my pisces tattoo, but i don't know if they'd do it.  theoretically it could work on the top of the foot, but i think it'd look cooler on the side.

puppygirl - my friend has her last name on one foot and her mom's maiden name on the other foot in that area so i know it's been done... i dunno why they wouldn't, but some tattoo artists have some weird rules.
pikaboo- ooh show! i want a volume knob behind my right ear but i'm scared it'll hurt more than my foot tat hurt. did they have to shave your hair, or is it small enough that it fit just right?
