and I really like the fridge magnets which you can put clothes on the pin-up, justaddcats how did you do this thing?
any help ? thank you

Thanks Smiley It wasn't tough.  I started with a paperdoll book much like the one I sent HandsyMalone to get ideas.  I basically traced the things I wanted onto card stock and modified as I went.  Then I either colored with permanent marker or cut fabric clothes to layer on top. I used spray adhesive for the fabric on the cardstock, magnetic sheeting that had it's own adhesive, and mod podge to seal, but I would guess a variety of things would work. Let me know if you want more info.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this gallery already! Elvis! the cute ring! all that gorgeous embroidery! Great work, ladies!

Shocked wow I am loving all the packages so far. It's so nice to see that everyone got something completely different so far. I am well inspired by the coasters and the fridge magnets. I am moving within the next few weeks and make some for our new place.
The Elvis picture is awesome. Well done everyone. I really can't wait now to see what I am getting and I am even more exited to see how half pint likes my package.
If there's ever going to be a round two of this swap I'll join again.

I received from kittymoose today. She made me a very sweet half apron in blue checks (to match my kitchen!) and cherries, a household organizer notebook with all kinds of checklists and menu planning calendars (which is great because I've been thinking I could stand to run things more smoothly around here!!) and, a bar of Hersheys with a cute 50s-ish wrapper. Didn't get a pic of that, but here's me doing my best pregnant Vanna with the apron and the notebook and two loaves of bread I had just baked. Imagine me in a dress and pumps for true 50s housewife style!  Cheesy Thanks, kittymoose! It's great!!

Couple of the fun illustrations marking the different categories in my notebook

And the bread I baked, just because. Smiley

Ooh fun!  And a couple of those shots remind me of Ann Taintor, whose stuff I also love.  Smiley

I am collecting cotton Hawaiian fabric scraps for a quilt if you wanted to send any my way!

i received on friday, i'm just getting around to posting.
i love everything.
this was a great swap. i love seeing what everyone got and made

here's a great bow on a bobby pin. what a freakin' great idea. i'm totally using/stealing this idea

and a flower broach. she did a great job on this- i don't know if the pic does it justice

here's a very cute headband, and the broach in action. yes, i have a minor-shiner (bike accident)

another of the pink bow- action shot. i always feel funny doing the self portraits, but i had to - not often a girl has a blackeye.

a close up of the skirt, with some of the buttons and the tag- i love those small touches, by the way

action shot with the skirt. it fits perfectly. all i told her was my size. turns out we're the same size, so it worked out quite well

and here's the headscarf. she sewed on some sequins. very cute

thanks again for everything, horrormaedchen, i hope you like what i made you half as much as i like what you made for me

and thanks, donniesgirl,  for organizing the swap

i'm excited to see the rest

I'm glad you liked everything grenouille. Cheesy

When my mom loaned me her camera she neglected to loan me the cord, and mine is not the right size, so I'll post pics after my bday dinner tonight Smiley

Also, I'm glad the apron fits, I was afraid it would be too small Cheesy

Ok, pics to come later tonight, I'm so excited!
