Hey there, crafty folk...

I have a question regarding a huge surplus of Rowan Polar yarn.  If you're not familiar with this fabulous stuff, it's a chunky wool blend that is very warm and lightweight.

I was feeling ambitious a few years back, and bought a ton of it to make a floor length hooded sweater coat.  Believe it or not, I finished the thing and realized that the pattern I used was no good at all.  It was baggy and shapeless, where I was looking for something cute and fitted.  So I unravelled the whole thing and have been looking unsuccessfully for a good pattern ever since.  Cry

So here's my question: Does anyone know of a cute sweater coat/duster pattern?  After 3 years of looking, I haven't found any good patterns for chunky knits.  Can you help please?

Thank you!!!

We were sittin in Harlem, at a table for two... and there were four of us... me, your big feet and you.

How about this one:

If you click on 'ladies to knit' at the top of that page it will give you a bunch of pattern booklets (not free) to look at - I'm doing the one on the cover of the 'chunky knits' booklet right now.  It's going really fast, too.

I remember that there was a very pretty one in the Winter issue of Interweave Knits.  It was burgundy or dark red and quite elegant - not at all baggy.  They should have back issues available at their website.
