I just read the erotic tiles thread, and, oh, I just noticed that's a bad pairing for what I'm about to ask. But anyway she was asking for suggestions for names. I didn't even think to ask about that anywhere online, but I think this place would be perfect. So anyway, my mom is working on opening a children's shoe store - will also carry accessories, some clothing, some toys, but mainly shoes. We want it to be really colorful, fun inside the store, and it needs a name to match. Something clever/witty, fun and funny, cute, and that says something about the fact that it is a shoe store for kids without being too, too obvious. My mom has run some names by me that she thought of, and I'm mortified she might actually use one of them, and I'm having a really hard time coming up with anything other than attempting to just translate something into another language which hasn't come up with a terribly cute name. I think I'm just too close to the problem and am not able to just run off a bunch of ideas because it's one of the most important things for a business. So maybe some of you, who are removed from the store, could give suggestions. I really can't let my mom open this place with the names she's come up with, and she needs to find one to help get a loan and a storefront. Oh and also we're from Northampton, Mass which is a really, god help me for using this word, "funky" town, it's been voted America's Best Small Arts City or something like that - has Paradise City Art Festival, has a lot of great locally owned shops, big attraction for shoppers and tourists from New York City, Hollywood actors - so maybe that helps with the humor aspect it needs.

It seems like you are really attached to Blue Jean Baby...I can appreciate that. I have a business name in mind, but the domain has also been sold. It doesn't look like anyone is actually created a site for that domain yet so you can try to buy it from the person who has it or create a similar domain name like www.blue-jeanbaby.com, www.bluejean-baby.com or even www.bluejeanbaby.biz. A slight variation using a dash or a different domain (.com, .net, .info, etc.). You could also shorten "blue" to "blu."

Maybe I am missing your idea, but you have created beautiful pieces that look just as good when your wearing jeans as you do when you are all dressed up. If you love that name there are creative ways around the straight .com name.

Just my $ .02.  Good luck!

PS- Love your jewelery by the way!!!

thanks Jesssf!

I was attached the BlueJeanBaby, but not really anymore. In fact, i would prefer something that doesnt have "blue" in it... i dont really have any blue jewelry!  But you did hit the nail on the head with the idea that the jewelry could look as good dressed up as down!

Here are some of the names i have been thinking about :

Modern Grace
Smashing Stones

i dunno i am leangin towards luluchic ... LuLu is another word for pretty... i kinda likehte ring to it.
I dunno anymore thoughts ??

I hear ya!   Wink

I like LuLu Chic (especially your reason for choosing LuLu) and Modern Grace. Heck even LuLu Grace has a nice ring to it!
