I agree with that, but pieces of eight sounds cool, too.

I'm voting for Calico Jack too.  It can also have kinda a double meaning because people could think of calico fabric and you have handmade bags.

They're all great names. I would think about how the merchandise matches/doesn't match whatever name you do choose.  Pirates certainly are a fun, memorable, interesting theme. But, from the description you gave of your merchandise, I don't see a strong connection.  A good business name will help your customers connect with your products/merchandise as well as attract new customers.

My 2 cents.
Good Luck!

Cool names...I love the pirate theme.  How about 'Shiver Me Timbers' or 'Mary Reade's Bounty'?

I like Sweetness.  I don't think DLG is a good idea (that phrase can have some sexual-creepiness associated with it, innocent as it may be) and Cowgurl is cute but sounds kind of little kiddy (I'm generally not a fan of cutesy spellings).  It depends what you want to portray though...if you want to appeal to a teen/younger crowd or to a more sophisticated crowd.  I think I'd even like Cowgirl Co., that's cute too, with the typical spelling instead.  Make sure you check (maybe google) to make sure your names aren't already taken.  I think that might get you in trouble, if you use one that's already trademarked.

Good ideas though!  You definitely have some good options.  I think playing off the cowgirl angle is a great idea, now how to link cowgirl and classiness...hmm...

hey LucyOlive,
Don't let a few snippy posts get you down. You have posted some great stuff on here, and I think its pretty awesome that you are thinking about all of this at such a young age and being so creative.
Life is about trying things out. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but either way you can say you tried and you never know, it could be just fabulous. Besides, the snippy comments could just be because we are jealous of the fact that you are so ahead of the game (this is coming from someone who is twice (!) as old as you).
I say dream big, weigh your risks, take responsibility and go for it!

Maybe "CCC"--classy cowgirl clothes! Your logo could be a picture of a cowgirl with pearls and a bustle skirt, OR of a victorian lady with a lasso and a cowboy hat
