If you're going to keep the "handmades" on the end, I would suggest dropping the s, so that it's more of an adjective than a noun describing what you do.

Willowbark Handmade

If you want to do an image logo, I would do a very simple tree (a willow maybe?) drawing or image either above the company name or right behind it if the image is light enough.

I hope you don't mind an opinion from someone who no longer sells her crafting.  Back when I was selling my knitting, on-line shopping didn't exist and customers would expect me to knit for next to nothing for a custom-designed garment (you want a long-sleeved, high-necked BACKLESS winter jumper?  OK!) but happily pay much more in a store.

Personally, I love the suggestions by uproar.

I think a pleasant/vague name like willowbark does very well for a craft biz. You don't have to be all that literal. I also like the suggestion of dropping the "s", but instead of one long name taking up space, I would put the Willowbark on top in large letters, and the handmade in small ones underneath. I would go simple, like this (and yes, if you like it, you can use it):

What did you like about GreenKiwi? I'll bet you thought it really "popped" when you chose it, so what's to say you'll like something else better or over the long haul? When you use, um, avant garde type phrases, they're really not easily remembered, and they tend to be chosen on a more immediate emotional basis. The relationship doesn't last!

I notice you use Gems by Nicole on your etsy shop. Why not just use that?

I  need a name!  Grin

I will be selling a variety of things, but mostly things for children:
* personalized wall-hangings
* loveys/blankets
* felt stuffies
* faerie costumes
* bibs/burp clothes
* felt playmats
* small totes

I live in the mountains, love everything about the outdoors/nature, like magical things such as faeries, obsessed with turtles.

I would want something that incorporates some of the above, for a real natural/outdoorsy/magical sounding name.

Anyone wanna throw some ideas at me!  Grin

ETA: What do you think about "Mountain Sprite Workshop"?

Okeydokey: what do you think about this?:

thanks for all your help!

actually..thats the new name ive chosen. my mother-in-law suggested it. I think i will enjoy this one way more over the long run. it wasnt really an "in the moment" decision either. And i also believe its a little more..umm..realistic (although thats not the right word)

There is a bear I am going to be selling with a portion of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for each one sold.  One of the reasons for this is I lost my Mom and Grandmom to breast cancer.

My Mom had a great sense of humor, and even passed away on April Fool's Day 2005. So the name I feel should be something that is differant, standout, have a sense of humor as well as be unique. Here is my short list of names, but input would be great.  Smiley

  • The Titty Bear-(Already checked on Etsy, and there are not word restrictions)
  • The Lady Bear-(Lady was my Mom's nickname)
  • The Pair Bear

Thank you  Smiley

Proud Army Mom, Hoaah!!!
