My adorable quilt from Melvinator came yesterday!! I love it!

I love the shades of green she used and the bird in the cage and the buttons. Buttons are one of my favorite things.

Thanks so much Melvinator.  Grin

This is the beautiful quilt SugarySweet sent me! It has the place of honor on the center of my mantle, reminding me that homeownership is only a few weeks away!! (hopefully...)

Notice the awesome initials that are "carved" into the tree (my favorite part!). She did a magnolia tree because I mentioned that my mom loved them when she was still alive. This means so much to me, and I feel really guilty for posting pics so late. Life just takes hold sometimes.

Thank you so much Sugary!! I can't explain all the meaning this quilt has to me.

Wow!  I love how she did the magnolia flowers with ribbon and a button in the middle!  That is ingenious! Wink

I love it! Cheesy

The second I saw the bird cage quilt, a song started playing in my head, "You tell me that you've got everything you want, and your bird can sing, but you don't get me, you don't get me"   Beatles.

the bird cage quilt is amazing! I love birds as imagery but real birds scare the beejesus out of me!

I'm happy you like it.

I had another idea when I started out. The more we PM'd and I read in posts that you were buying a house, this is the quilt that happened.

I bought a few packages of ribbon flowers and stitched yellow seed beads to the center so that they would look more magnolia like.

I hope you will enjoy it for years to come. I know I love my quilt and will love it forever. Just need to decide which room I want to hang it in.  Grin

they are both so lovely.  I adore the bird cage and the hand details on that magnolia tree.  This is such a wonderful gallery

I'm such a dork, I didn't realize the city block one was laupre's! If it was a tiny bit bigger my house would be on there too!  Grin

Mamaphunk sent me this AWESOME little quilt .
Mamaphunk went with my sun and moon theme and here is the total quilt:

Amazing isn't it?   I love everything about it.  I love the batik background fabric she chose, I love the colors, and I really love all the hand embroidered stars.  If you think I like this quilt than you might be right!  Tongue    The sun and moon have extra padding to make them really puff and stand out.  Also check out all the beeds and embroidered sun rays.

I still love it and look at it everyday!  :*
