In my 2-D Composition class last semester, we made alphabet books. I'm no sort of overachiever, but once I get an idea in my head, it's not going anywhere. We were supposed to find the letters in our surroundings, but i decided to make them instead, so i dumped out my basket of yarn and bag of scarves in my dorm room (to my roommate's dismay) and started forming the letters with them (on the floor, in the middle of the room). Then came the joyous photoshopping process that made me want to shoot myself in the foot, with the cropping, and the formatting and the layering and the UGH. Finally I got all my pages printed, folded, and glued into place. I could have been done there, but no. I painted the book covers purple, and wrapped white yarn all the way around them, and crocheted a case for the book. (I even made two books, for extra credit, and let my prof keep one.) they would be identical, but i only had one button, so the other has a chain of white woven through the middle of the case, tying together on the outside. didn't get pictures of it but i still have mine

fancy portfolio pics!

scarves for the pictures were made by me and my sister and my mom... one of them is knitted. bahaha. i felt sneaky doing that.
