I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with this shirt I bought, but this is what I came up with, partly inspired by Thorn's 'ruffle butt shirt' https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=305026.0

Unfortunately I don't have a before pic, but it was just a long sleeved man-shirt Smiley

The shape was draped on my mannequin, but I wish I'd unpicked the edges to allow more shape, but I'm happy with how it's turned out Smiley I might add some straps out of the left over sleeves, and I have a chest pocket that I took of, which needs to go back on somewhere!

Let me know what you think Smiley

eeee so cute!! i love ruffle butt anything lol.

i agree about the slight lack of shape though, maybe you could put in some darts in the front? kind of like princess seams. Cheesy ruffle butt AND princess seams!! omg!

Aaahhh, I was going to do that, but as easy as it sounds, it's tricky as even though the front looks baggy, it's kinda tight on my dummy. mainly because I shaped the back first into an enormous V all the way from the top to the bottom, which you can sort of see in the piccies, so as lovely and shapely as the back is, the front isn't, but then again, I HATE entirely fitted clothes when you just want to be comfortable, especially in the summer when it's hot and sticky! I'm so happy to have inspired someone (even if only partly Cheesy)!  I love it, it has a nice romantic flair to it.

I seriously want a ruffle butt shirt. But I have the kind of ass that black men shout at soooo, I think maybe it's a trend I may miss Cry  Yours is super cute though.

Thanks guys Smiley

The bustle was super easy to do, it was a cut from a lace curtain, sewn at the waist then the bottom, then bunched at random parts inbetween.
The whole project was so much fun Smiley I'll definately be doing something similar again!
