I've started making some mythical creatures just for myself. Here is my latest creation..

I'm having some trouble with the yarn I got. I like the feathery texture it creates but it sheds like crazy. Anyone have any suggestions to an alternative brand other than the Yarn Bee brand I purchased??

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!  This has got to be the coolest amigurumi I have seen in awhile!!!!  I love it!!!  And you came up with the pattern yourself?!  OH my oh my!  (can you tell I love mythological creatures?  ha ah!)  Might you be sharing the pattern?  Id love to make one! Grin

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

Thanks!  Grin I did make the pattern myself, but I'm still working out some kinks...like how to keep that yarn from shedding so much! He's starting to go bald! lol

He's so cute! Cheesy I love the purplish-blue yarn you used (though I'm sorry to say I can't offer any advice for the shedding).

He's adorable! I love griffins, I really must make one for myself. I really like the way he's a bit simplified but still really recognisable.
I've used fuzzy yarn a lot and haven't had too much problem with shedding. I can only suggest you try a different brand (I'm in the UK, so no point in me recommending one).
