Bought a pair of high heels and found out did not match my outfit that they are required for. So I'm questing to paint them. I obviously DONT WANT CRACKS or CHIPS so a pre coat of something or after coat or something to prevent this from happening? I'm doing my shoes hopefully right now so urgent?

Huh, I just did a couple searches hoping to find relevant info and didn't find any! I know there are craftsters who regularly paint leather pumps and such, but I don't recall offhand if they used primers or not.

Ummm... I'll try to be helpful and say that a thin coat of latex paint (which is slightly flexible) may give you good coverage and survive a wearing or two so long as you don't scrape the shoe against something (like your other shoe). That's assuming the shoes you bought are leather. Maybe buy a sample pot of exterior latex house paint at Home Depot?

You also said it's urgent, so you may have gone out already. If that's so, I wouldn't mind knowing what you tried.
