I did a personal swap with Tiffany(mieljolie) for the pattern for her Turkish Vest from pop tabs, she was even nice enough to alter it to fit my larger size.

From the front it really frames the girls.

Here's the back, I still need to add bells and coins around the bottom and a chain across the back, but I was so excited I had to share it now Grin
The pop tab "fabric" is really comfortable and stretchy, I was surprised!  I can't wait to wear this out.  There are a couple more pics on my blog.
She also sent me one of her paper mache witch's boots.

0_o That is mind boggling. I used to collect pop tabs obsessively when I was younger, but I never managed to get that many. You said she gave you the pattern and you made the vest yourself? How long did it take? Looks awesome!

I worked in a bar and I used to save all the tabs, it wasn't a busy bar Grin.
I made it from the pattern she sent, it took a few days to lace the tabs together and crochet around the edge.  It's been something I've worked on off and on for about a month, but if I would have just worked on it straight it would have been done in about 5 days.

Wow! I guess it helps to work in a place that has a steady supply of them. I wouldn't want to drink that many sodas (since I don't drink beer). I would have expected it took longer, though. You did a great job!

You did a great job! I can't believe that it's actually comfy? I wrote a blog post on pop tab fashion at http://iminlovestyleblog.blogspot.com/ and featured your vest with a link back to your original topic post.
