i made this while waiting for ian (my first nephew) to be born. the pattern is something i made up... added a scalloped edge for a nice touch on the brim.  isn't he precious?  almost 2 weeks old now!

I am loving the hat!
I have always been intimidated by garments - always not sure if they would fit or not!
I made a bunch of baby booties for a craft show once and all along I wondered if they would really fit a baby.  I say they would fit an infant infant like 0-3.  I was able to get them on an 8 month old easily but tight.  Who knows.

Great job.  Braver than I am.  i am always worried that they would be tooooo small to fit on anything other than a barbie. ha ha ha.

beautiful baby too!

Yeah, I screwed up my first three hats... but that all changed when I finally found something that gave the circumference of a full-term baby head. The average size is 10-12 inches.  Soooo, all the tiny barbie-head-sized-hats are going up the hill to the Dorenbecher Children's hospital.  I'm sure the premie mom's will appreciate them. :-)

What a great hat!  I really like the scalloped edge.
I honestly thought the hat was being modeled by a porcelain doll.  I'm so serious, then I read the rest of your post and realized that it your nephew!  He's precious!!

Take Care,
