I'm new on here. I want to make my niece some materity top out of ready made clothes from a trift shop. I'm not sure how to go about adding more fabric in the front. Is there better shirts than others to use for this project? I hope I'm explaining this right.
Thanks for any advice.

Here and here are a couple that have added fabric. Here is a craftster top that isn't "maternity" but I think it would work.

Here is a craftster tute for a maternity top - not added fabric but a "from scratch" top.

I think it is easier to start with a larger top rather than add fabric like here, here, and here (scroll down).

If you search craftster or google you could find more, also easy to find ideas for skirts and jeans recons.

Thank you so much for the links. I went to the trift store today and got some flowing skirts. All I need to do is add straps and some details in the front.
