I always found blue was the hardest color to get to stick! I gave up after a few tries! You could do cool blue wool dreads though!

Well, after a loong, hard struggle with myself, and two canceled hair appointments due to cold feet, I chopped [for the second time].

[the profile picture also contains a nice view of this]
Being silly in the chair [my hair had been chopped off already, no cut yet though]

and the end result, though I don't generally style it like this much:

I like it flipped out the best, and I generally take my annoying, almost-chin-length-swoop-bangs and bobby pin them back to about where my ear is, which leaves the longer pieces to swing forward underneath.
the back was thinned a lot, and I have quite a few pieces of razor thinned hair on top, which pouf up and look really cool and make me look like Twiggy.
the cut, in case you can't tell, is shorter in the back/longer in front, though the edge isn't QUITE as dramatic as I wanted. The actual cut is called a "Swing line cut" if you like it and want it done.
there are very few layers in the front, so next time, I may have a few more put in for some more depth, but overall, I'm happy.
[in case anyone was wondering: I donated the hair I cut off, which was about eleven inches. I've donated before, when I was twelve.]
The hairstylist told me I'd grown six years worth of growth in two years.
what can I say? my hair grows like a weed. no clue why.

and remember that [depth] is the greatest of *heights*

I love my wool dreads. As one who can speak from a great deal of experiance with dreads/extensions: wait until fall. Those things get HOT, and your swimming is seriously hindered. Sweating in extensions is the third ring of hell.

i bought the new manic panic stuff that supposedly lasts longer.. and i got shocking blue... and its been i think 3 weeks and were still going strong.. the purple punky colors i put in with it is pretty faded but the blue still looks super.. so i dunno if you want to try that but so far i have had good results..

so yep thats my timeline of hairstyles! Smiley

Dang Strangel, I am in love with your hair, like I want to run away and live happily ever after with it or something.  I wish you had leopard spot pics, I've been pondering techniques for that for a long time.

Then he asked,"Lord, what about when there was one set of footprints on one side and also a straight line with bootprints on one side and small round circles on the other?" The Lord replied, "Those were when I carried you, and we were joined by a pirate pushing a wheelbarrow."
