Not a very good picture but it's the only decent one I have on this computer at the moment...

It's black in the back, although I'm trying to grow the black out now...so I've been dying my roots red. I'm afraid I may be forced to go back to something reletively natural soon and I'm going to miss it so much. I've had these red highlights for a year now, I'm really attached to them and I think they suit me well.

I first had it done when I agreed to be in a hair show waaaay back and thought "ah well, I have funky hair anyway...I'm sure they can't possibly do anything too horrible." Here's what I turned out with:

HA! And that's my reaction when I first looked in the mirror (I actually had to parade myself around the convention for a while before they'd even let me see it). But once I went home, took off all that rediculous makeup and combed it down, it actually looked really good and I've been dying it myself ever since.

Wow urbanpopsicles, truly amazing. How will it stay like that? What did you use?

p.s. I love the ferret in your avatar, I miss mine terribly.

Thank you! I had a shaved head that I grew out for like a week. Then I bleached and painted with Manic Panic hair dye and paintbrushes (with the help of a creative friend, of course). It lasts about 2 weeks with touch ups and I tried to avoid washing it a lot.

Yeah, I'm a total ferret mommy...I spoil mine!

well when my hair was bleach blonde, im sure you can see how much shorter the back truly is...its so short because i had to cut all thes off due to over bleaching from bleaching out pink...then i kept it the blonde and used TONS of conditioner to reconstruct it. and it did the trick.  i started to let it grow a little to the length i like and then colored the back. the bangs right now are a little damaged because i was putting on very mild bleach to help keep the pink out of my bangs.  but they were so damaged that even  10vol and a portion of conditioner was too harsh.  but i bought so stuff to help it Smiley

That's the first thing I thought too!  I'm like "so Ziggy!"  Great minds, man!
