Here are some pics of a dress I made with this great discount fabric I got at WalMart.  It cost $2 a yd.  The whole thing cost me about $5 to make!  The fabric is a polyester-cotton blend.  You can sort of see through it, but that's okay b/c I'll probably end up wearing it as a bathing suit cover-up anyways.  I used McCall's Easy Stitch 'n Save pattern #M5786.  It really was quite simple to make.  Now my 8 yr-old daughter wants me to make one for her and her doll.

I love this. I actually made a shirt yesterday with the same top band as your dress..the shirt is supposed to have the bubble hem effect but before I got to that..I sewed part of the shirt to another part...that wasn't supposed to be there. So..I gave up on it for now..lol. Sorry for rambling.
I love your dress though. =)

Oh and yeah. Gotta love the discount fabric at wal mart.
