I got this bowling ball for FREE at the local bowling alley because it had a ridge dug into it where someone had bowled like a mad man! Anyway, here it is! this is my first shot at this sort of thing!

I'm open to suggestions for the next one!

Very pretty, I love how it's all scaly.

I bet it's heavy!

thanks! It is heavy! 12 lbs! I was trying to think of something to sit it on because I've seen some people have them on little metal stands, but I'm afraid the ball would crush it! Any suggestions?

you should try pennies on your next one. there is a little old lady here in my town who put pennies on a bowling ball and it looked awesome.

I usually don't care for gazing balls, but I love the look of this. The color is fantastic.

thanks again! The color was a total accident. The ball itself was a greeny blue color and I bought blue marbles hoping it would be more blue than green, but it didn't work. I like how it turned out though. As for the pennies, my mother would freak if she saw actual money on something that goes outside! She's very big on saving even if it's pennies! i'll have to give it a shot anyway lol

Great idea! What did you glue the marble on with?

I used the cheap brand at Walmart of weatherproof/waterproof clear silicone!

beautiful! I adore yard art- usually Smiley maybe try a mosaic/collage style for your next one. like old broken dishes, maybe some buttons, some old costume jewelry?
