ok so i was at BCBG the other day JUST BROWSING b/c i cant even afford one piece of lint from that store...

and i saw the most adorable clothing item in the world... it was a sunshine yellow and sequined "tunic" that had no sleeves but was shown over jeans... i would say it had an empire waist and came down about 5-6" from the kneeline....

now i am obsessed trying to find some kind of pattern that fits as such.

it's such a flattering length. any ideas???

I could be completely wrong but isn't it CBGB? Because I remember because if you say it really really fast it sounds like the beginning or a NOFX song. It sounds like the guitar part... but still.

I used to have a grey tunic.

BCBG is a store, CBGB is a bar.  Wink

(CBGB stands for Country BlueGrass Bar and is a club where many punk, alternative and rock bands have played. For many it was their first "gig.")

As for the tunic - I'm not very good at making shirts...  Sad Maybe you could find a pattern for a sleeveless shirt that you like the look of and just add extra length to the hem.  Huh Sorry I can't be more helpful!!!

Well, this isn't very DIY, but my first suggestion is to check out TJ Maxx if you have one nearby.  They often carry BCBG.  I got a nice BCBG hard-sided glasses case for $3.  I realize tunics are different than glasses cases, but I know it's a brand they carry sometimes.

Now, if you really want to try it yourself, I'd recommend just browsing pattern books until you see something with the same basic shape.  Adjustments can be made to match length and shape of hems, etc.  It'd be helpful to see a picture, but I've browsed the BCBG website, and they only show their spring/summer line, and I didn't see anythink nearly that long.

i was secretly going to buy it and try to copy the pattern..,... then return it.

or i might just go charge it....although $110 is absolutely focking ridiculous!!!

Nah, I wouldn't get a sleeveless shirt pattern unless it was exactly the same thing, because of the empire waist. I would buy a dress pattern and make it really short...
