This one comes with a story:)

Right before my university graduation on March 14th, I went to drop my nieces dresses off at their house because everybody was sick and they didn't want to visit and make all of us sick.

Well my 2 and a half year old niece was not wearing pants so that she could make it to the potty on time - she is fully potty trained but as her daddy said she had the rotten runnies;) so when she took me to her bedroom, hauled out her old pony shirt that she outgrew and said " Aunty I just want to wear pants and for you to make me a new pony shirt" I told her that if she listened to Mommy and Daddy for the rest of the day I would make her a new pony shirt.  Well truth be told the fabric was purchased 20 minutes after leaving their house, but then it sat around for a bit, last Thursday when she visited she found the fabric which had been cut to make a peasant blouse and asked me when I was going to finish her pony shirt, well I had it planned to finish it for Easter, which I did.   She wore it yesterday and her mom took some photo's so here they are (yes a teddy bear face over hers because she is not my child, and my Sister in law wants pics kept private not public)

the shirt is a simple peasant top from vegbee's tutorial site - link is in the tutorial list, except I made the original - didn't cut the neck down at all just left the top straight, the pattern also works in knit fabrics as well.
the pants are made from a pair of my dad's old pants and there is a tutorial on my blog.
- front of the shirt, back of the pants (she put the pants on backwards)
- this is the back of the shirt, but the front of the pants (She put them on backwards)

Cute story and a cute little outfit. Did you make the pony applique on the jeans?

Yes I cute the pony out of the fabric, glue it on and then stitched it with a straight stitch.

I always save any motifs off of fabric with that intention. Haven't done it yet, but it always looks so cute when people do!

Your little bear is adorable, I love that she has the pants on backwards my daughter does that with shirts all the time and when I tell her she just shrugs and says I don't mind it like that. LOL!
