yay Julie! I'm so glad you love them. I think the Armadillo one is my favorite with sunbonnet sue coming in 2nd. My inspiration for that was a good old texas quilt my great aunt sent me for Abby. (They live somewhere in Texas, I don't know where though).

I hope your little granddaughter can get some good use out of those onsies! now to wrangle the wee one to play dress up with hers!

Arimenthia- is the scrabble one just iron ons? that one is awesome! all those shirts are adorable!

The shirts you made for McJulie-O's granddaughter are precious -- as a Texan, I really love the Texas onesie! Wink

Phew! I am SO glad you like them barbolot! I spent a lot of time on them to make sure that I made something awesome for our awesome organizer (as I know what a huge hassel organizing can be) and an amazing crafter and mother all around.

Yes the Scrabble one is just iron ons. I took out my scrabble board and arranged them face down on my scanner and scanned them in, that seemed to be the best way to get the most realistic looking scrabble tiles. It was, by far, the easiest of the shirts to make.

The lucha guy took forever, and then as I was doing the detail work with yellow on the letters, I DROPPED THE PAINT BRUSH! AGH! That shirt took, literally, 12 steps to make and I dropped the brush in the middle of step 12. I was so bummed, but I attempted to fix it by making a bunch of yellow marks to cover up my mistake. In my head it was supposed to be a lot crisper looking, but I think it turned out well anyway. It was my favorite of all of them as well. I have to give some credit to this artist whose lucha images inspired influenced me heavily in the making of that shirt.

This was also my first time working with felt for clothing appliques and I'm very happy with how they turned out. Again, I'm so glad you like them. And thank you for your kind words!

Here are the BEAUTIFUL shirts we got from mimiw yesterday:

a bleached shirt that say Emily with a tree branch:

Her favorite, she loves the buttons:

Alice chasing the White Rabbit (so cool!):

My favorite, a tree that says "grow" - we need all the help we can get!:

A cute little deer shirt that matches her skirty perfectly!:

mimiw also sent some wool wash and a cute pair of longies - Emily saw the bear and was so excited!  She is just starting to talk and she was saying "bay, bay, bay!"  which I'm pretty sure means bear!  They're too long right now, but I'm going to hem them so she can wear them before it gets too warm here.

one more pic of all the shirts:

Thanks, mimw!  you totally made our day!

Here are my wonderful shirts from McJulie-O. My little monkey seemed to enjoy them very much. I like them too!

I love this one. The butterflyes and flowers are so fun and cute. (And the pink works, I don't hate pink. I just don't like to drown in it)

Cute green shirt with flowers

Dark purple shirt with purple flowers. I love the puffy sleeves.

This one is so awesome. Hubby is Canadian and I'm American so Abby is a little Canam. Now she has a shirt to say this!

Adorable Canada sweatshirt. This will be worn for all things Canadian.

Julie was so sweet she even sent a little something extra.

An adorable pillowcase dress! I love it!!! So cute! However my model didn't want to cooperate and would only show it off lying down. It was almost bed time.

Thank you so much Julie! I love the shirts and dress!

You're welcome, Dani! I'm So relieved that you like them!!  Roll Eyes Abby looks adorable in them!

The words on the beaver shirt say "North American Collaborative Effort", with a little heart between the two beavers, and did you notice that one of the beavers (the one under the US flag) HAS EYELASHES to flutter??? I guess I belong to the Walt Disney school of gender delineation.  Cheesy  The clip art I had had the beaver tails straight out to the side, and since I didn't know how to move them digitally, I just printed them out and THEN cut them off and moved them so they would fit on the shirt, which contributed to its general wonkiness...DID YOU KNOW that the Pennsylvania Dutch supposedly always traditionally build in a mistake (at least ONE) in every quilt they make, theoretically because Perfection is a quality exclusive to God, and they don't want to "presume" to be all uppity and perfect....or maybe it's the Quakers...or the Amish...

Anyhow, I am SO not perfect on that shirt, but I loved it, and sent it with love to your little "North American Collaborative Effort". May she wear them all in great fun and health for at least a while...

Incidentally, did you see that one the shirts I "slimmed down" from 3T to 2T, I left the seam allowance intact so you can just open the seam for more room?
