Sweet I get the first spot this week. The first up is a 2 ply merino called Earth Elements. 88 yds. The second is smaller due to technical dificulties (and then some) called There's your Trouble 2 ply Finn wool

Happy Fiber Friday Grin

Happy Fibre Friday!
I had quite a productive week:
This came off the bobbin on saturday, it's my favourite so far:

this is Falkland, there is a lot of it but it was a bit difficult to draft, hence ended up a bit fuzzy, going in the stash:

Next up more Falkland, I don't know why I spun this so thin it just happened, 2ply 18wpi(!), record for me:

Chunky 2ply, 6-7wpi, Merino and Falkland:

And finally: fluffy, supersoft candy floss explosion(Falkland, about 4wpi):

That's enough pictures for one day I think!

I've spun lots this week and last but haven't caught up with pictures. So I've only got one picture this friday.

This fiber is "Myrtle" from Spunky Electic's Fiber club! (YAY!)

4 ounces of natural brown BFL overdyed with deep burgundy, blue, and green. All the colours you would want in a plaid shirt!

I spun it up into a worsted-chunky weight. This yarn is soooo soft and really sproingy.
140 yards.

Mmmm...fiber...they all look so squishy and delightful!

I can't remember if I posted this first one yet so sorry if it's a repeat. It's spun from a batt I carded of kool-aid dyed beige alpaca and natural black alpaca. Sooo soft! I'm not sure of the yardage...not much though. I'm trying to decide whether to card up some more batts of the same or just the plain black alpaca and use this as an accent with the black.

Have a Fuzzy Easter!

This one is from a small batt of local wool that I carded with yarn bits. It's wool that I picked, cleaned, combed, etc. It's just a mini skein...about 30 yds. I think I'll card up some more though!

Oooo, lovely as always~ My favorites are Spring Bloom, Myrtle, and the first one that lillylane posted.

I've got nothing completed yet, but I'll probably post some progress pics later in the day.

This is sort off topic but still a bit on topic...jazzturtle, you live in Chapel Hill? Do you spend any time at Yarns, Etc? I'm going to Carolina in the fall (wooo!) so I expect to be hanging out there quite a bit. ;]

I love all things shiny, glittery, and colorful.

I hang out in: Fiber Arts, Needlework, and the Swap Board!

I like Crocus. That's yummy! They're all great. Smiley

I have a couple of singles this week from mill ends.

The first one my 10 year old step daughter dyed. It turned out really pretty. I said it somewhere else but it reminds me of grape juice on cotton.

Spilled Juice

Texas Sunset

I've got to do some spinning today!

Homespun gifts for your friends and family!
Will be posting more items soon. Check back!
