How awesome is this? It totally brings me back to the 80's, playing in the arcade. Sarasvati rocks our socks!

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Lauren and I am from Ontario, Canada.  I have always loved to craft and create since I was a little kid.  I'm now 27 years old and still crafting away!  Some of my favorite crafts include needlepoint, knitting, making things out of felt, and creating fun video game-related crafts out of Perler beads.  I also love to play video games, travel, listen to music, play the piano, do yoga, and cook vegetarian cuisine.  While I love to craft for myself and my fiance, Paul, I also have an Etsy Shop called Lost Mitten (http://lostmitten.etsy.com).  I also write a blog called Lost Mitten (http://lostmittenblog.blogspot.com).

The project is so super cute, can you tell us a little about it

The project that I posted on Craftster is a set of Space Invaders magnets in needlepoint.  I've been making video game magnets for a little while now - I've made Tetris ones, Mario ones, and Pac-Man ones in the past and decided to make Space Invaders ones!  While I was making them, my fiance suggested to me..."Why don't you make a whole level's worth of magnets?" and I was up to the challenge!  Hours of stitching and 56 magnets later...the set of Space Invaders magnets was completed!  You can stick all of the magnets to your fridge and set up the whole level or just use a few at a time!

What advice would you give the masses?

It is a wonderful thing to make awesome new crafty creations and Craftster is such a great place to be inspired!  Always be creative and keep on crafting!

Who/What inspires you?

I am continually inspired by my fiance, Paul - he is always coming up with great ideas for new crafty creations and it is great to be able to bounce ideas back and forth with him.  I am also inspired by my love for video games and love incorporating them into my crafts.

BONUS QUESTION! In true James Lipton style.

What noise do you love?

Cats meowing, knitting needles clacking, out-of-tune pianos, video game bleeps and bloops

What noise do you hate?

When someone rubs their hands together...for some reason, that has always made me cringe!

My partner likes to stretch his arm out behind me on the couch and rub his fingers together.  It makes me absolutely crazy and it annoys him to no end that I'm bothered!  Knowing that someone else hates the noise of hands rubbing together as much as me makes me feel so much better!

Also, this is a really cool project!
