not the sort of moth you might enjoy in a sandwich

I wanted to try the Zaftig pattern from the Summer 2004 Knitty but as soon as I was done with those marvelous short-row shaped cups I realized I'm nowhere near daring or skinny enough to show off a handmade bikini top.  I though about making it into a full-length tank top but I'm concerned it would be too warm to be practical.  Any suggestions?

BTW, the yarn is Lion's Microspun (100% acrylic).  Also, I used a provisional cast-on for the straps because I wasn't sure how long I wanted to make them.  I was thinking about making them cross in the back.

What about using some sheer, georgette material and stitching it around the bottom (kind of like a handkercheif top)? That seems to be the style this summer.

Yeah, I thought of making it into a tank already; I suppose it's the obvious way to extend that pattern.  I'm trying to think of something really creative I can do with that pattern, like adding sleeves to make a ballet wrap or something.   Too bad there's just no way I can work a knitted bra into my lifestyle.
