I made this for  my daughter for the holiday craft along. This months theme was craft a memory.

FIrst a little backstory: When my daughter was 5 she found a coat and fell absolutely in love with it. It was a furry hot pink Cheetah print with pink pleather and was reversible. Well since that little coat she has loved all things cheetah print and still loves hot pink.

Well being the sentimental (or is that just mental?) mother I saved the coat thinking I would eventually craft something from it and I finally have. I made her an owl stuffie because she has been begging me for one.
This one was inspired by one I received as a tag prize on another forum, although it is much bigger.

I did find out that I HATE working with fur fabric and will probably never do so again-the amount of fuzz flying was shocking  Shocked

Aww- I'll bet your daughter will love the memories it brings her. That's the kind of stuffy you hold on to forever. =)

I wish my mom was as craft-tastic as you are! And I love owls too! Great job and great throw back to your daughter's favorite jacket. Now she'll have even more fond memories of that fabric and more fond memories of the fab mom she has!
