One of my favorite fictional characters is Utena from Revolutionary Girl Utena. Here's a summary from Wikipedia:

The main character is Utena Tenjou, a tomboyish teenage girl who was so impressed by a kind prince in her childhood that she decided to become a prince herself (expressed in her manner of dress and personality). She attends Ohtori Academy, where she meets a student named Anthy Himemiya, a girl who is in an abusive relationship with another student. Utena fights to protect Anthy and is pulled into a series of sword duels with the members of the Student Council. Anthy is referred to as the "Rose Bride" and is given to the winner of each duel. As Anthy is thought to be the key to a coming revolution, the current champion is constantly challenged for the right to possess the Rose Bride.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolutionary_Girl_Utena I highly recommend this anime, even if a lot of it is WTF moments.

So I made a box inspired by Utena.  Grin

An explanation: The white rose, Utena's duelist rose, is taking over the coffin in which Anthy/The Rose Bride is trapped in. The sword is the sword Utena uses in the duels, also taken over by Utena's influence. The roses on the outside represent the other duelists Utena has to defeat in order to bring about the revolution. I decided to use a lot of symbolic work as the anime itself works the same way.

And now more pictures!

Prebake for the bottom. I just really wanted a picture.

The bottom, I really like the lining. Prebake.

A more detailed picture of the lid.

So you can get a look at the bottom of the sword. I'm ridiculously proud of how the Sword of Dios come out.

Rose detail pics!

Top of coffin.

Left side.

Right side.

One more pic, for good luck:

All baked! Whee!

Yay, first challenge project is done! Hope you like it and thanks for looking!  Cheesy

What a good show this was as well.... Utena was my favorite 'cause I'm a bit of a tom-boy prince/princess at heart.

Ah good times!
