I hope nobody takes this the wrong way, but am I the only one to wonder what kinds of crafts we're doing right now that are so hip and cool, but 30 years from now we'll all be joking about?

oh wow... yeah.  i could get really heavy on this topic but i won't... i will just say that you made me think.

creative criticism always appreciated!

Honestly, I have to say, you got me!!  As soon as I read this post, my heart broke and stomach turned.  I then went and googled other craft communities, until it hit me!!

This is just an April Fools joke....right?!?

Hardy har har!  Ok, so you got me.

I'm enjoying trying to figure out which mod is which  Cheesy I've got a few figured out, but others I can't remember what the macrame part of their name used to be.

And on a completely serious note, I'm going to try my hand at macrame in May. I'll see if my mom has any tips for me  Smiley

We should have picked a better day to unveil macrame.net. We didn't even think about it being April Fools Day, we just always choose the first day of the month because its easiest. Hmmm. Undecided

I've been on holidays and just got back in the early morning hours, signed on here late this morning and was amazed!  Wow, I thought, we've gone retro, not sure I totally loved it but like all the other changes, I will get used to it.  I saw the ads for MacrameNet.net througout the day but didn't really pay attention as I'm not into that anymore THEN the date dawned on me  Shocked  Figured I better read this thread and had it as soon as I finished the first post.....skipped 31 pages just to leave my comment here.  Good job!  Now I can't wait to see what my avatar is since this is the first post I've made today....

And you got frogs with ball gags on swings!  Nice!

Really, though, I advise everyone to do a google image search on macrame before scoffing at it out of hand.  With the right minds working on it, it can be a seriously beautiful and fabulous thing!

Oh god, I love you all.

Please, please for my future joy and pleasure, could you archive all the macrame avatars and stuffs so that I can lol away? I'm loving the bloke up top who's 'bringing sexy back'.
