It's finished!  Cheesy
The first item I crocheted using a pattern. Found the pattern through this web site, but don't recall where.
It's a 1930s-inspired hat.
Took me a couple of weeks. I have a toddler, so I wasn't able to work on it very often. All told, probably took about 3-4 hours total time.
Used the wrong size yarn, so I ended up making it much bigger than the pattern called for. Learned my lesson about not following directions!
The flower is crocheted separately, then attached. Worn low - comes almost to eyebrows in front, over ears (flower goes over one ear), and to hairline in back.
This hat looks so funny on me, because I have very short hair - it reminds me of a swim cap. Therefore, this hat will be given as a birthday gift to a friend with longer hair!

It's awesome! Good job. It reminds me of the hat that Reese Witherspoon wears in Legally Blonde Smiley

I've seen that hat around here. I love it <333 You did a great job! Too bad it doesn't fit, but I'm sure your friend will love it  Cheesy

Awesome!! You *could* keep it, and then you'd have the least functional yet hottest swim cap ever.  Wink

My hair is about 5-6 inches long, and I looove wearing hats like that.  I know what you mean about the swim cap look, but still, I think it completes the '20s-'30s vibe.  So you should wear it!  (Or give me one  Cheesy)

Well, my hair is about 1-2 inches long; if it was 5-6 inches long like yours, I'd most definitely keep it!  Wink
The friend I'm giving it to has hair about your length, so I hope it will look as good on her as this type of hat looks on you.
Thanks a lot!
