so whever i decorate a cake for a special order at work i never get to give the cake to the customer and hear there feedback, this lady wanted a gluten free sugar free chocolate cake that has chocolate cream cheese frosting on it (sorry i cant give the recipie or ill get fired) she said it was for a friend that was a painter and she wanted flowers and paint brushes, this is what i came up with. i hope she liked it but sence i didnt get to see her i would LOVE to hear what you all think of it.

What do you use instead of sugar?  I'm still trying to figure out what Im going to do for my son's bday, he and 2 of his friends are allergic to EVERYTHING!

we use xilotol, its pretty spendy but you dont really need much for a cake. at first your frosting will be gritty but dont worry the xilotal desolves and then its perfect. i believe that in the cake we use 2cups and in the frosting we use 3/4 cup, or maybe its the other way around.....i think it might be. i can check at work on monday and give you an update, as long as i dont give you the whole recipie its fine, once i figure out how much we use you can just find a chocolate cake recepie and sup the sugar for the amount of xilotol i tell you. and this will be for a double layer 10" cake, or 24 cupcakes or one single layer 8x10 or 6x12 whatever the dementions are cake. you might also look online for a recipie and look in a heathfood store for the xilotol. thats where i work and we keep it in the suppliments department.
