Didn't come out exactly as planned - a bit too small for me... but I still love the juxtaposition of the manly woolish suit material and the feminine sheer fabric. The play with 3-D texture...

As always I make everything on top of pieces of vintage lingerie... This case, a vintage bustier.

I like to leave ragged edges... This one is considerably more cleaned up, though for the cups (which aren't as sculpted as I'd like) I did leave the edges, sewing only a edging.

I like the look of the folds and all the texture I can see. It was a little weird to view in small picture on frontpage, though. I looked like it was a bustier/corset decorated cake. I seems kind of like it is missing something to me. Maybe if it had more ragged edges than it has or if there were some sort of edging on it it would feel more completed.

I was feeling the same way last night. I just wasn't feeling the cups... So I made a border out of the sheer fabric to encase the cups. I will add pics later, maybe on a mannequin so it won't resemble a cake.

i love the textures and the colours. i think you did a gorgeous job on it. i could totally see it being worn with a skirt in the same colours and a small train. Also, a small top hat.
