Well, the sun was finally shining here in Scotland today. Since that hardly ever happens, we all tend to rush out and do up our gardens as soon as it's bright!
This is what I did today:

Before - my dull and rotten garden bench;

After - I sanded it, treated it with rotten wood hardener, and painted the wood and metal;

I couldn't stop there, so got to work on my old blue gate:

And freshened it up, too!

Phew, that's better! I think I deserve a cup of tea and a Kitkat now  Grin

You most certainly deserve tea & treat!   Cheesy  You did all of that in ONE DAY?

Wish I had that sort of energy and focus  Smiley

Beautiful! Can I come visit your garden? I'd love to go to Scotland! Smiley Smiley

When I'm done, Elliemom, when I'm done!  Wink

I still have the outside brickwork to paint (you can see that behind the bench, it's red and very flaky), all the weeding to do and then I'm going to turn a long line of huge rocks into a fairy village by painting them like cottages!
I also need to build a big wooden box for my dustbin and recycling boxes, just need to wait for the next sunny day now!  Roll Eyes

I clicked this rocks because I loved your bench.  It looked excellent.  I love your garden!  It looks so quaint and beautiful there!  I have to be honest though... I liked the blue.  Your gate looks great.. but I liked that blue..  Keep us posted with the rock village! and painted red wall!  Smiley

Thank you!!!

The garden is lovely - or at least, it could be if it was tidied up a bit! The woman who lived here before us filled it with beautiful flowers and plants, there is always something blooming. It's been a bit neglected since we moved in 4 years ago, but I'm tackling it now and it'll have a fairy woodland theme. As well as the rock village, I'm going to build tiny wooden fairy doors to put on the trees, and a wooden archway over the front door with dragonfly shaped lights, it'll be lovely when it's done!
Oh, and I liked the blue too, but after 4 years, I just fancied a change!

Well done!
