Square-shaped abalone shells give this one a more modern look!
Fun polka-dot turquoise colored liner and detailed stitching in front that is seaweed green colored thread.
Used cotton fabric liner, and canvas type of material for the outside.

wonderful! i like how the liner pops out the top for a little peekaboo effect, and some drama.  very nice!

That looks so cool with the buttons! And I love how you did the wavy lines of stitching.

One suggestion: To make your bag look more professional, and to help the handles lay flat...iron the heck out of them until they are flat and then top-stitch the edges so they'll stay that way.
