I've had two shops this week reply and said they were interested in carrying my jewelry (YAY!!) so I've been making all sorts of stuff non-stop, finally turning all of the sketches from my notebook into real pieces. I made this ring, but I can't decide if I like it.

What do you guys think? Its 7/8" long, and 1/2" tall. The main frame is 18g copper, the thinner wire is a 28g gold, and the beads are tan wood.

(Also, sorry for the bad pic quality, I just did them on photobooth.)

I like the idea a lot, but I wonder how it would hold up as a ring, because it would catch on stuff pretty easily, and copper based wire is pretty soft. It is a great design, though. Maybe a less bendy metal? It would be neat to use that type of wrap for making links or earrings, and the copper wire would be all right for that (except for the ear wires themselves).

I used to make copper-based rings years ago, but stopped making them because of how easily they bent. I never made many rings after that because at the craft shows I was in back then rings were a popular theft item. Sad

Congrats on the store's interest in your jewelry, that's awesome!
