We're potentially moving this summer and I'm just wondering if there is anything going on around there? I'd love to find a crafting circle and I definitely need a crochet and knitting tutor. I hear there's a farmer's market too, any crafts I wonder? Anybody gots any info? Thanks!!

Woooo! Cobourg! Although I live in Toronto now, I grew up in Cobourg, back when it was fun and free and not over run by condos.

As far as crafting goes, if you're young not really. The farmer's market is great though, I sold my jewellery there for years. Great people, try the PIE. Yummers.

As for craft stores there's Legacy Toys and Crafts on the west side of town. It's pretty awesome, one of the few places I've been able to find safety eyes in all of Ontario really.

Port Hope is where the craftiness is at apparently. I don't know too much about it, but my mom says that's where she goes for supplies.

Hope your move goes well, and enjoy the beach!

Hooray!! The beach in Cobourg is better though Wink

Port Hope has a lot of antique stores which are great and most have good prices.

I also forgot to mention the Cobourg Waterfront Festival which is wicked fun! There's a midway and live music and fireworks and a billion vendors there. There's also an arts and crafts tent that you have to pay to get into for the weekend but it's very worth it! So much fun stuff! The festival runs the weekend closest to Canada Day as it's the reason to celebrate.

Good luck with the move!
