<-- Post virgin Cheesy

This isn't the first project I've completed but it's probably the one I'm most proud of.  I made this dress for my friends wedding that happened this past weekend, using Vogue 8470 - pretty good pattern, but as always I cut it a size 20 - too big!!  I'll need to cut the paper pieces down some more when I make it again.  This time I just had to pull the back zipper in by 2 inches, so it's still a little big on the sides.

Also, can I just say I HATE lining?  Cheesy  I've gained a healthy respect for people who sew on sequins by hand - I did the sleeve edging, neckline and under bustline with individual sequins, and the hem with sequins-on-a-string (I got lazy Cheesy).

Worn in the photo with a lovely elastic belt and a big poofy petticoat... I'd highly recommend this pattern to anyone who likes twirling, the skirt has a 5 metre spin!

I am not one of those people with patience for sequins. Maybe someday. ha!

Love the blue w/white polka dots! And twirly skirts are always good.

ack the colour combination you have going on here is sublime Smiley it's almost nautical to a point.
