I've gotten it into my head that I want to make some thigh-high fishnet (or other 'open' patterned) stockings.  I'm thinking fine thread and a tiny hook (not yarn or opaque stockings).

I've thought about trying to make up a pattern as I go along...but I'll be much more motivated to work from a pattern.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find some patterns?

Here's one for knit but I suppose you could convert it to crochet. (never done it myself.. I'm too lazy.. hehe) Wink

Now, somewhat ironically, I actually HAVE what I believe is a crochet thigh high stocking pattern in one of my books SOMEPLACE, no clue where. Its a rather old pattern  from the 40s or so I think. Anywho I'd love to send it your way but (a) no clue where my book is and (b) no clue where camera went. Gr-bah.
However it is a vintage pattern so its most likely floating around on the internet someplace..  Undecided

Sorry.. I know i'm not much help..

Crochet Me has a pattern for some cute ones.

You can see them on the cover:

If you're a Ravely member you can see more info on the pattern here:

I don't have a pattern or anything, but when I want to have a mesh look, I usually do 1 dc, ch 1 in between stitches and it gives a mesh/fishnet look  Grin

to make fishnets:
first crochet a toe,
then chain 5,
single crochet every third stitch.
chain 5 again and sc in every third stitch

you will work like this:

simply re attach the chain every 3 stitches in a spiral
