The other night I felt like doing a instant gratification project so I decided to tackle the muffin cthulhu I've had in mind since I read this QC comic's punchline http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1335   Here's the result.

I only needed some of my scrap yarn and had the neon green floating around since I was a kid so I had to use. that.

well I just kinda freehanded it and didn't pay total attention to what I was doing, heh. However really all you need to do is find any cupcake pattern you like (I know there are tons of them)  and when adding the frosting edging, turn two of them into four tentacles.  Tentacles are made by chaining 9, (3 sc in 3rd chain from hook, 3 sc in each of the next 5 chains) and connecting to the next open stitch on the side of the cupcake.

Some patterns I've seen make both parts separate and connect them.  I just switched colors and continued upwards, but sc in the back loops only of the 2nd time around with the green.  I then went back and reattached my yarn to the front loops and made the edging.  I may try to write a pattern at some point since I'm considering selling these, but I hope this makes some sense.  My patterns don't often make sense to anyone else but me.

Hehe, it is quite awesome.  Afraid I've already beaten you to Pintsize though...and Winslow too.
But looking through your older posts, I see you've beaten me to McPedro!

I made them for Jeph when i thought he was going to be at a con I was going to.  Unfortunately the organizers just assumed he'd come since he had in the years proceeding but never got a confirmation Sad.  At some point I'll get them to him.
