Craft or Die

This was inspired by Dante's Inferno. I was listening to it on audio book and playing around with some Sculpey III. I decided to practice my face making. His face ended up looking pretty good so I kept going. I should have done the rest in Premo or something. It's pretty fragile. And huge!
He's about 8 inces wide and 6 or 7 inches tall.

Here he is after falling in the river of boiling blood and starting to burn up.

In progress:

I think this is my most successful "dark" piece. I'm pleased with it, but I wanted to do wings too. I don't want to bake it again because of the cheap clay. I'm going to make more things like this later, but I'm moving so it won't be for a while.

Guess who's back?

You do things with clay that I didn't realize were possible -- this is incredible!!! Seriously scary and beautiful all at once!
