I see this on so many threads but 'I've not posted in a while' ... I'd been working on a series of dresses but stopped to finish up this dress I made last September! ... yep about time!

So yesterday I got out Freya (elfdoll Sooah), dressed her up and went on a photo taking rampage. Here are some of my fave pics from the extended shoot.

overall I think this is my fave:

I do love this series:

But I like these too:

The dress is constructed by sewing together strips of lace that are about 2 cms wide. There are little gathers and tucks here and there that create the fit and shape. I then worked out an underdress that would work with the shape.

Here are some pics of the underdress:

Sorry for all the pics, I have such a hard tome picking!
I hope you like it!

Very beautiful!  Question though, I don't have any bjd's and am not familiar with them, so how do her eyes close?  Is it similar to baby dolls where they have lids that slide down when placed a certain way?  Hopefully that's not too much of a stupid question. Tongue

bjd's eyes don't close. if you want the doll to have it's eyes closed, you have to have a separate head that is sculpted with closed eyes, and then you swap out one head for the other, depending if you want eyes open, or eyes closed.

As sushiluvzombie says I have 2 heads for Sooah an awake and an asleep head. Their easy to switch by turning a ring inside her head. Not a stupid question at all!!

Thank you for looking at my dress, I'm glad you like it!
