this sounds great!

will the clothing be sorted by size at all? i have to say, that as a fattie, i usually end up going to clothes swaps and coming home empty handed. it would be especially frustrating if i was paying admission!

and has it been determined which charity the remainders will go to?

thanks!

Good question! I believe so, I think they first get sorted into mens/womens/kids and then sizes (although I think the kids stuff may not get sized).

As for charities, we are contacted some at the moment to see if they are interested and will be letting you guys know as soon as we do!

thanks for the reply!

that's totally cool, i just wanted to make sure that the stuff wasn't going to charities that i don't support (namely sally ann or VRR). i'm anal, i know!

just FYI, the link for fibre manipulator on your most recent blog post doesn't seem to work. i don't see a way to comment on the post itself to point that out!

As one of the volunteer sorters at past Swap-o-rama-rama events (and again this year).... sorry to say things are definitely not sorted by size.   It's pretty chaotic there and the sorters just sort into general categories (i.e. women's tops), and even doing just that it's hard to keep up with the flow of clothes coming in.   Sorry!

But - it's an awesome event and this year there are crafty workshops and a craft supply swap too!

hm, that's unfortunate! i totally see why though!

since you've been there past years, do you have any idea of how much size selection there is? i don't want to post about this to my fat political group if the only larger sizes there will be what we each bring!
