Hi folks! here's the last sculpture I did for my 3D art class in college.

The head is a real pig's skull, retrieved from a previous taxidermy project. I welded the skeleton from different gauges of mild steel bars and wires, and covered it in chicken wire and plastic wrap. The lighting is simply a small set of incandescent christmas lights.

In darkness, internal lighting turned on:

thats awesome! i love sculptures that double as lamps! the skull just brought everything together.

I paint these little pictures with a temporary poison. each one just like the other. i wonder why i even bother.

Thanks! it's the first time I gave a dual purpose to a sculpture, and I can't wait to try turning it on as mood lighting next time the girl & I get intimate!  Tongue

of course, without the skull, it wouldn't be very recognizable as an armless pig torso Wink
