In the interest of having pictures last as long as they can in the scrap book I am making, what would you suggest as a protector?  I plan on putting those little corners on them, but I've read a bit about people having issues with pictures if they aren't covered.  I don't like the idea of putting a protective sleeve over the whole page and I don't really want that look of plastic over the photo, but I don't really want them to get all stuck together either.

Any suggestions or tips would be really helpful. ^_^

You could put a piece of acid/lignin-free tissue paper between each page.  Local dry cleaners should have it - they use it to preserve wedding gowns.  But really you shouldn't have a problem if you store your albums standing upright and not all squished together!

if you use only acid-free scrapbooking glue or double stick tape you should be fine. Also, don't mix magazine or newspapers in with the pictures--use scrapbooking papers ONLY. The best thing to do in this situation is to get color copies or scanned prints of your photos and store the originals in a photosafe box.

you can get no glare page protectors if you want...

personally I'm so bad about getting finger prints on photos and all that I would never consider not using page protectors - but then I'm obsessive enough that I just bought a bunch of scrapbook quality page protectors to pull the relevant portions out of the magazines I have with my favorite singer on the cover =) - so I can actually read them with out feeling like I've made big finger prints on the outside of the magazine, etc - and saved some space by not having all the stuff I didn't really need to keep from them...
