LOVE this!  I know what I'm doing this weekend!  I have two GIANT scrap bags plus a scrap trunk, so it would be truly fantastic to use some of it up!  Are non-cotton fabrics ok, do you think?

I definitely used a couple of pieces of non-cottons... I can't see why they wouldn't be.  This isn't really something you'd throw in the washing machine because it'd be so delicate, so as long as you're careful with your washing, the mix of fabrics shouldn't be an issue.

Those are really, really neat!  Looks like a lot of work goes into them.  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks!  You're right, they are a lot of work, but they are actually pretty fun and it's really neat to see them take shape.  Smiley  Well, make them take shape.  Heh.

That's a great idea!  I bet one of those would make an awesome cat bed.  Smiley

And I love the fabrics you chose!  So bright and happy.  Smiley

I love yours, Rylizbeth!  After breaking two needles on two different machines trying to make mine, I decided to handsew it, haha.  If I ever finish that, I'll post pix!

wonderful bowls!!!
Ok, so, for those who did theirs on the machine...what size needles did you use? any brand of cording in particular? thickness?
How difficult is it once you start doing the sides? or how do you manage/handle it?

I am SO wanting to give one of these a try and want to make sure I have the right materials first  Smiley
