We have a gallery!

Swap name: Tree Swap Round 2
Craftster member who is organizing this swap:  Jenicat
Craftster member who is co-organizing this swap: digital misfit
Sign-up date range:  Saturday, February 14 - Saturday, February 28 at 8pm EST
Date to send item by:  Wednesday, April 8

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): No

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? No

Age requirement? 16+

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 16 years old: YES

To be fair to other swappers, I reserve the right to deny entry to this swap for any of the following reasons:

- excessive late sending in past swaps
- poor communication in past swaps
- failure to meet size requirements in past swaps

Details of swap:

Elm, oak, willow, orange do you obsess over trees?

If you love trees or have always been drawn to them, this is the perfect swap for you.  Trees have been an intrinsic part of many cultures, from the giving of an olive branch in ancient Greece to the symbolism of the tree of life.  Anything goes in this swap as long as it is tree-inspired.

Take inspiration from their branches, leaves, colors, fond childhood memories of climbing them whatever.  We all know we love them, now lets craft in their name.

Here's a link to the original thread for Round 1: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=271248

And here's a link to our fabulous R1 gallery: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=273888.0

You may notice that I've pared down the questionnaire significantly!  I've still left what I consider to be the most essential questions.

And see the peaceful trees extend
their myriad leaves in leisured dance
they bear the weight of sky and cloud
upon the fountain of their veins.

- Kathleen Raine, Envoi

Specifics and rules:

You must craft FIVE points worth of items for this swap.  According to the swap guidelines here on Craftster:

LARGE item = 3 points
MEDIUM item = 2 points
SMALL item = 1 point

This means you have options!  You can craft 1 large and 1 medium, or 1 large and 2 smalls, or 1 medium and 3 smalls.  No more than 3 of your 5 points may be small items.

I have given five weeks of crafting time.  The point requirement should be doable for everyone, as it equates to one point of crafting per week.  That is one small item, or fewer than two hours of crafting time, per week.

If you and your partner agree to craft more than the required number of points, that is fine.  Just make sure it is agreed upon between the two of you!  It is always a fantastic idea to have good communication with your partner!

Likewise, you MUST have good communication in this swap.  5 weeks of crafting time is a lot of time for swappers to get "lost."  PLEASE remember to post in the thread or message your organizer roughly once a week.  If you do not show good communication, it will be noted in your feedback.

This swap, like most swaps on Craftster, requires a Delivery Confirmation number if you and your partner both live in the U.S.  If that is not the case, please retain your receipt so you can prove that you shipped, should your package go missing.  If you and your partner both live in the U.S., you must PM the delivery confirmation number to both your partner and your organizer once you ship.

And you are more than welcome to ship early if you've finished early!

You will be given feedback once your partner receives and lets your organizer know, however this does not absolve you of your duty to post photos after YOU receive from your partner.
Once feedback is given it is possible (and easy) for your organizer to change it, so do not think that you're in the clear from being given negative comments just because you've sent - we will do so if necessary!

Partners will be assigned and posted the afternoon of Monday, March 2.  I will post them in the second post of this thread and then PM everyone with their questionnaire and their partner's questionnaire.  Since we have a co-organizer (the always lovely digital misfit), I will post partners in groups assigned by organizer.  You will contact your organizer with all questions and your organizer will be the one giving you feedback.  Your organizer will also receive the questionnaires of all of her group members.

Now that we've gone over all the rules... Cheesy

I'm already activating that little craftster in my mind to think up some new ideas for this.

This is only day 1 of announcing this swap...I'm sure there will be many others interested in this swap, especially once they see the gallery from the last one.

Oh, I'm sure!  Last time we had 36.  I don't expect it to exceed that amount, but I wouldn't be surprised if we had something near that, especially since sign-ups are 2 weeks long.
