This month's featured artist is responsible for my favorite repurposed project
ever!
teag is the incredibly talented crafter behind the
Madhatter TP Roll Hats and many other exceptional projects shared in the Miscellaneous category.
Not only does
teag create really cool stuff, she also generously shares tutorials with the rest of the Craftster community so I'm extra thrilled to recognize her this quarter!! I loved hearing more about her crafty history and philosophy and I'm sure you will too so read on...
How long have you been crafting? What's the first thing you remember crafting? I have been crafting for as long as I can remember, when others were toddling around with a baby bottle I was toddling around with a bottle of glue, lol, okay maybe not that long but in my earliest memories I am crafting.
The first thing I remember crafting was a leopard print, dog ash tray holder- I was four years old, sitting in my grandma's easy chair hand sewing this cute floppy dog that sat on the arm of the chair- the dog was made from an old leopard coat that belonged to my grandmother- it's leg were filled with beans and an empty tuna can with holes punched around the bottom attached to the dogs back with yarn held a glass ashtray-He was a father's day gift for my grandfather. It was a completely re-purposed/ recycled project
What's your favorite media to work with?Glue- I love glue- especially white craft glue, that and polymer clay-polymer clay accents seem to show up, unintentionally in most of my projects, in the smallest of ways.
What inspires you?Toilet paper rolls, lol, actually I find inspiration everywhere . Everything and everyone inspires me-Craftster of course, Pinterest, magazine ads, tv shows, music, nature, colors, shopping trips, sounds and even phrases I've heard
Do you have a crafty/creative philosophy? There is always time to craft
On what other boards can Craftster members find your work? Polymer clay boards, the swap boards
What's your favorite creation that you've posted on Craftster? The thing I am currently making - actually I am so loving my miniature hats from tp rolls, teacup sewing organizer, bird pincushion, harry potter game- do I have to chose one?
What's your favorite item on Craftster created by someone else? That is a tough question there are so many wonderful crafts on craftster but if I have to choose it would be microjivvy's Flowerchild Paint Brush Man and a Bird – it is so well done- and it moves! I am in awe every time I come across it.
You've proven to be an impressive TP transformer with your recent projects. Any clues into what your next TP roll creation might be?? Inquiring minds want to know
! I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you, lol - actually I have a couple more ideas that have yet to become a reality so we'll all just have to wait and see

Thank you for being such a special member, teag! I can't wait to see what project you come up with next
