This was really incredibly easy to make because the yarn was already made in different colors, the only difficult part was making it work out so that the colors lined up in stripes, and as you can tell, when I started taking it in for the top, it got off.

Yay for bright, multi-colored things!!!  I adore rainbow-y colorful stuff.... I think the "off"ness at the top is kind of a cool effect!

I really like the way you kept the colors lined up at the bottom and then they got all twisted toward the top. Gives it a really interesting twisty effect at the top.
Did you intend to keep the colors lined up from the get go or were they just too close to lining up, so you decided to emphasize that?
My favorite thing about variegated yarn is how it can sometimes appear so random and other times, depending on the size of your piece, and the stitch you are using, they can make unexpected patterns.
