Finally got pictures of my new tattoo!

This first one is the day I got it (Saturday)

and this is today, with my other crafty tatt, in natural light

Keep in mind it's still swollen and oozing so it doesn't look so hot Wink I'll post pictures when it's fully healed. The text says "Without passion, we'd be truly dead" which is a quote from BtVS (yes! I am a dork! I will admit it!). The full text of what Angelus says is this:

If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank . . . Without passion, we'd be truly dead.

Kind of funny actually because when I went to go look at wikiquote for the full text it had "truly" and "be" transposed and I was like WHAT?! That's not right! ...Is it?! and had to go back and watch the episode again. lol. (my tattooed version is right Wink )

Looking through all the beautiful tattoos is making me itch for more ink.  Next on my list is a pair of wings.. or maybe "the unexamined life" on my ribs (ow.)

Darn my newbie status.  I must post ugly links.

My first tattoo from a painting of mine.  The guy snapped a photo and put it in his portfolio.  Two weeks later a girl walked into the piercing shop with MY tattoo.  grrrr.  How many varieties of a birdie can there be I guess....

I got this one while my fiance was in Iraq. I'm not so sure I got the text right but, wrong or right, it kept my spirits up through a long ass deployment.

Thank you!

darkdiva: Good to know I'm not the only one Wink I get REALLY weird looks when I explain that the quote is from Buffy.
